Nostalgia

nostalgia

I found this photo in my archive while looking for a weekly photo challenge candidate. First I thought this would be a nice match for the topic, but later decided to post it separately.

Once there were some shops and kiosks on a small side street near my house, but they were destroyed. Passing by the demolition works one day I saw an old man standing lonely amidst the havoc watching workers destroying last bits of the area. Noone can definitely say what he was thinking about at the moment, and we can’t see his face. Nevertheless the whole scene bears something nostalgic in it.
